Challenge

Team leaders at Teambuilding, Inc. have noticed that communication at the company has changed over time and there is a lot of miscommunication between team members, causing a delay in the completion of tasks. There was a period of high turnover in the company for about a year. Turnover eventually slowed down, but leaders noticed that communication has not improved. During an analysis of the team and their communication practices, the team showed a disconnect in communication styles - email versus in-person, details versus overviews, etc.

Solution

A 2-hour instructor-led training on the DiSC styles was identified as the solution. Though the teams communicate via Microsoft Teams and email, the team primarily works in-person in a shared office. An in-person option was chosen as opposed to a virtual training.

Result

Upon completion of the instructor-led training, learners will be able to apply what they learn about preferred communication styles according to DiSC Style immediately to their team. Learners can keep their Participant Guide and reference as needed.
